1. 📷 Ownership of Images

All photographs taken by VUE Pictures remain the intellectual property of VUE Pictures unless otherwise specified in writing. Purchasing a digital or printed product does not transfer copyright.

2. 🛒 Usage Rights (Clients & Families)

When you purchase images from us, you are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive personal-use license. This allows you to:

  • Download and save your purchased images

  • Print them for personal use (home, gifts, keepsakes)

  • Share them on social media for non-commercial use

You may not:

  • Sell, license, or distribute the images to third parties

  • Use the images for advertising, commercial, or editorial use without permission

  • Alter or edit the images beyond minor cropping or resizing

If you are interested in commercial licensing (for ads, sponsors, publications, etc.), please contact us for a custom quote.

3. 🏊 Team and Event Licensing

Photographs taken at public or semi-public events (e.g. swim meets, tournaments) may be licensed or made available to:

  • The event host

  • Swim teams, clubs, or coaches

  • Event organizers

VUE Pictures may also license selected event photographs to the event host, swim teams, clubs, or event organizers for promotional and editorial purposes. Private family galleries are not licensed without permission.

📌 Opt-Out Policy:
If you do not wish for your child's image to be included in any team or event licensing, please notify us in writing prior to or during the event.

4. 🗂️ Gallery Expiration & Archive Policy

Event galleries remain live for a limited time, typically 30 days after release. After expiration:

  • Digital and print orders can no longer be made without a Gallery Restoration Fee ($250).

  • RAW files are retained for 9 months as a courtesy but are not accessible without restoration.

  • We do not guarantee re-processing to match original gallery edits as our editing evolves over time.

5. 🔐 Privacy & Personal Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information (email, purchase history, contact info) with third parties. Data collected is used solely to deliver your orders, communicate with you about your gallery, and improve our service.

6. 📷 Event Photography & Removal Requests

VUE Pictures photographs public and semi-public sporting events with the permission of the event organizer and venue.

Participants and spectators may appear incidentally in photographs or videos captured during normal event coverage. Where applicable, participation in an event is subject to the event organizer's photography and media policies.

If you are a participant, parent, or legal guardian and have concerns regarding the public display of an image on our website or social media, please contact us. We will review the request and, where appropriate, remove the image from public display.

7. 🔄 Refunds & Satisfaction

Due to the custom nature of photography, all sales are final. If you experience a technical issue (corrupted file, missing image), please contact us within 7 days of download.

We stand by our quality and are happy to address concerns if you're not fully satisfied.

8. 🛡️ Copyright Infringement

Using our images in any way that violates copyright (selling, misrepresenting, using in ads or press without permission) is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

9. ⚖️ Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Texas, and any disputes will be handled in its courts.
